***Tivoli Storage Manager Administrator
Major Responsibilities:
1. Setting up new backup jobs in TSM and Autosys scheduling system. CA Autosys is used to schedule the TSM backup jobs and is one of the top scheduling systems worldwide. There are timing, successor, and predecessor considerations in setting up the jobs.
2. Researching failed backups. Analyze failures and make changes as required for resolution.
3. Communicate with app groups and other technology groups as resolution may require other expertise, follow-up, or assistance.
4. Restore files via TSM as requested by user.
5. Upgrade and maintain TSM environment which includes 20 TSM (AIX) servers and 3000 TSM client hosts.
6. Review and report host file systems and backup jobs to ensure appropriate backups are being done as per SLA.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, Computer science degree is preferred;
Team worker and self motivated;
Strong in English and communication skill sets.
Basic Unix skills are required in understanding TSM. TSM experience is preferred but not required.
