4.0 Cautions and Important Notes

NOTICE FOR CUSTOMERS INSTALLING 1.92a1 FIRMWARE
Some customers running with a 64-bit kernel and AIX software may experience a condition where the hdisks don't appear or the system can not do a SAN boot following installation of this firmware level. This is due to an AIX software problem in 5.2 and 5.3 that is currently being fixed. If you should experience this problem, reinstall the 1.91x4 firmware which can be found on this site with the title z-N-1 level: 2 gigabit Fibre Channel PCI-X Adapter - Code Level 1.91X4.

The 52 APAR fix IZ05479 is scheduled to be available around the first of November.
The 53 APAR fix IZ05535 is scheduled to be available around the first of December.
You can obtain the fixes from the IBM Fix Central website located at http://www-912.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fcgui.jsp.
