everything running as normal
backup sybase!!
1. setup fastT hardware, setup raid lun, connect fc line to s85 2. install rdac driver to s85 3. cfgmgr, identify disk (I forget the device name what virtual disk looked as, vdisk? or some others.) 4. extend vg to the vdisk. 5. mklvcopy of sybase's lv to the new disk, waiting for lv sync 6. delete the lvcopy on 7133 7. delete the hdisk of 7133 from vg 8. rmdev -dl hdisk, pdisk of 7133 9. power off 7133, detach hardware, it's ok
You don't need to stop database or even business, just some performance degrade, but it's little infact.
Though it's very safity for data, take care about the commands what you will execute (delete lv) and make sure to backup befure the operation.
