ABSTRACT:  Correcting Duplicate MAC Addresses on 1GB Dual Port PCI adapters.

PURPOSE:   
IBM shipped 1 GB dual-port PCI adapters between 07/25/07 and 11/16/2007  with MAC Addresses duplicating those of previously shipped adapters.
The presence of two nodes with the same MAC Address on a physical network causes a collision which usually results in the logical disabling of one or both of the affected nodes.

Affected MAC Address Range:  
00-14-5E-C8-48-00  to 00-14-5E-C8-8A-78

IBM has created a Website (see URL below) for the Customer to determine if their adapter is affected by entering the MAC Address of the adapter.  If the adapter is affected, the adapter can be reprogrammed to have a unique MAC Address using the secure software utility at the URL below. 通过他的软件去定，就不会重复，你自己去写一个也可以。
